Carry a refillable water bottle.

This one is so simple. Why are you paying for a plastic water bottle to only use once and then throw away (in the recycling bin of course)? “Out of 50 BILLION water bottles bought every year, 80% of them end up in a landfill. Approximately 1.5 million barrels of oil—enough to run 100,000 cars for a whole year—are used to make plastic water bottles, while transporting these bottles burns even more oil.” (treehugger.com) Us broke college students should not be spending money when we don’t need to. So invest in a refillable water bottle and guess what? You can fill it up ANYWHERE, and…. drumroll please… its FREE. Free water for everybody!
